$250.00 Sign on Bonus
Position Title: Sheet Metal Fabricator/MIG Welder
Location : Kalamazoo, MI
Pay and shift : 1st shift $18 - 6:00am - 4:30pm, and $19/hr 2nd shift Shift: 2nd (3pm-1:30am M-F or 3pm – 4am M-TH)

Position Summary:
- Assemble make-up air equipment; check and confirm work in accordance with job specifications, procedures, quality standards, and checklists
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD drawings (training provided)
- Safely operate forklift and/or other lift equipment
- Mount fans, motors, burners, and gas manifolds
- Measure, cut, and install insulation
- Accurately complete checklists
- Suggest design and procedure improvements to improve quality and productivity and reduce cost Maintain high productivity and quality workmanship
Qualifications and Skills
- MIG welding experience
- Ability to read, write, and do simple math, read a tape measure
- Good mechanical aptitude Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Ability to operate a MIG welder and pass a pre-employment weld test
- Ability to operate cold saw, iron worker, shear, bend sheet metal
- Ability to safely and properly use a wide variety of tools, including hand and power tools
- Ability to safely and properly operate a forklift and/or other lift equipment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to sit, bend, squat, and kneel
- Ability to perform work from a ladder, reaching and working overhead
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Ability to follow directions in standard practices and procedures
- Construction, assembly, or carpentry experience preferred
