Market America, a Global Product Brokerage and Internet Marketing company that specializes in One-to-One Marketing, is seeking an experienced Sr Interactive Designer for our Interactive Mobile Team.

Position Summary

As a Senior Interactive Designer candidate, you will work collaboratively to inspire and mentor other designers in producing highly creative designs and concepts in various digital formats to meet strategic marketing goals and campaigns. An in-depth knowledge of graphic design and communication in digital media is essential to this role, including experience in communicating design direction, understanding digital marketing trends and best practices as they apply to digital media.

The ideal candidate will be expected to have a strong understanding and demonstrable experience in design, layout, typography, branding and the ability to convert concepts into functional deliverables using semantic, compliance-based markup that makes it all work. Experience in user interface design (UI) and an understanding of user experience (UX) core concepts preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience providing art direction in a collaborative manner and facilitating tasks leading to the teams success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes strategists, designers, content strategists, business analysts, project managers, marketers, and developers to deliver a polished final product.
• Creates standards-compliant, cross-browser-compatible representations of approved designs with accuracy.
• Creates original page layouts and designs and creates additional pages and sites stylistically to accurately reflect other approved pages/sites.
• Collaborates with User Experience and Design teams to effectively create, maintain, implement, and enforce style guides, standards, reusable templates, and best practices for client-side coding.
• Develops rapid prototypes or experimental versions of new concepts or products.
• Monitors trends and new technologies to evaluate for possible adoption.
• Collaborates with internal Business Analysts, Business Owners, as an integral part of our Marketing and Creative departments on short- and long-term projects.
• Maintains a quality user interface focus to achieve standards in user experience design.
• Intermediate Understanding of HTML and CSS with an understanding of responsive design methods
• Will provide some creative direction and oversight of conceptual development
• Occasional local travel may be needed
• Annual conference participation and related travel required

Education and Experience

• Bachelors’ degree in Graphic Design or Interactive Media
• Ten or more years of experience in graphic design with emphasis in digital media
• Or combination of equivalent experience, education, and training.

Skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Products, Adobe Creative Suite, UI tools (Figma, Sketch, XD), CSS3+, HTML5.
• An understanding of responsive design and development
• High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted strategic projects in conjunction with day-to-day tactical activities
• Ability to get along and work with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible
• Prioritizes and models good communication skills; follows up, timely responses, proactive and positive in approach
• Above moderate to high levels in reading comprehension, writing, and speaking in English; active listening; attention to detail
