Job description

Each year, the Enrollment Management division works to enroll approximately 5,000 new students and provides financial aid information and services to more than 13,000 students. The Enrollment Marketing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Enrollment Marketing team. This team employs creativity and technology to educate, inform, and engage prospective students, 3rd party influencers, and other stakeholders about the benefits and value of an RIT education.

Utilizing market research and data, the Enrollment Marketing Specialist is tasked with developing and refining strategies to effectively communicate information and drive toward achieving university enrollment goals and overall visibility.

Key responsibilities of the Marketing Specialist include implementing enrollment marketing initiatives to attract students. This involves managing multiple communication flows and marketing campaigns for prospective students, providing support for enrollment marketing project management, and creating compelling content for various channels, including print, social, email, and web.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with the team to strategically plan, create, and distribute multi-channel recruitment and admissions campaigns for prospective students. Utilize a variety of communication channels, including print, email, SMS, social media, and web, to convey comprehensive marketing messages, event invitations, follow-ups, and transaction reminders. Incorporate insights from market research and data, ensuring that campaigns align with strategic enrollment efforts. Track engagement, providing progress reports and ideas for improvement.  Coordinate communications for special or new enrollment initiatives.

Engage Prospective Student Influencers: Create and distribute multi-channel campaigns aimed at key influencers, like parents, school counselors, feeder school faculty and staff, agents, and others. Coordinate communications for special or new enrollment initiatives.

Content Creation: Create or update engaging and informative content that resonates with prospective students and families, utilizing traditional, new, and emerging technologies. Research, write, and/or edit communications and implement strategies for multiple digital properties, including CRM email and portal projects, and third-party platforms.

Project Management, Collaboration & Evaluation: Manage production timelines and track engagement. Uses analytic tools to monitor and report the impact and effectiveness of communications outreach to prospective students and influencers. Collaborate with colleagues within Enrollment Management, Marketing Communications & across campus to develop multimedia for campaign and recruitment – spanning email, web pages, social media, and collateral for on-campus and virtual visits.  Work closely with students, faculty, and staff to collect narratives and testimonials that showcase the RIT experience.
