Estimator
The Estimator role is a critical position that requires the successful candidate to accurately estimate costs for university, commercial, construction and school projects. The Estimator must provide a detailed cost analysis and has the potential to affect project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for university, commercial, construction and school projects.
- Collaborate with team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of project scope and objectives.
- Evaluate project specifications and drawings to ensure accuracy of cost estimates.
- Prepare a detailed cost analysis report and present to the Project Manager.
- Revise estimates based on material and labor cost changes.
- Attend client meetings, as needed, to present estimates and address any questions.
- Maintain accurate records and information regarding the cost of materials, labor, and other project costs.
- Provide technical support and expertise to the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in cost estimating for university, commercial, construction and school projects.
- Strong knowledge of K-12 education construction standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other cost estimating software.
