OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Our ideal candidate has experience using integrated shipping programs to ship both domestic and international products via a variety of companies. They are comfortable working 9 to 5:30pm and are open to overtime as needed. They are deadline driven and able to work quickly and efficiently. This candidate has great communication skills and a team approach.
SUMMARY OF PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Shipping Specialist is responsible for pulling orders according to pick ticket information and supplying customers with accurate, safely packaged parts in a timely manner. Backing up production work orders by helping supply the parts needed for work orders and closing work orders in order to stock parts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Use integrated shipping programs to ship both domestic and international products via FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
- Ensure products are shipped on time to meet order dates
- Perform shipping, work order allocation, and cycle count activities as required
- Communicate with other departments regarding order requirements
- Participate in daily production meetings when necessary
- Receive cross-training to improve ongoing efficiency and business continuity
- Ensure work environment remains clean and orderly
- Perform shipping documentation for international shipments
- Participate in yearly inventory.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by your manager
EXPERIENCE/SKILL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
- Ability to effectively execute the above listed requirements
- Integrated shipping experience with domestic and international shipping
- High School diploma
- Typing and 10-key
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal
- Able to follow written and verbal directions
- Knowledge of international shipping requirements
- High School diploma
- College degree(preferred)
- Knowledge of quality management system requirements
- Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented
- Able to read and write English
- Possess basic hand tool knowledge
