Legrand  has an exciting opportunity for a  Accounts Receivable Analyst to join the  WattStopper Team in  Richardson, TX

 

What Will You Do?

 

Role: Manages the collection of account receivables in compliance with established policies. Oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic goals of the accounts receivable cycle through management, maintenance, implementation and design of all accounts receivable business procedures and functions for the A/R collection process. Ensures key metrics are tracked and achieved. Timely releasing of order holds. Provide key direction for internal and external
customers to ensure the timely processing of orders while providing prudent management of investment in accounts receivables.


Main Job Duties:
1. Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collection and balance outstanding and
to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.
2. Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectable; ensure maximum efforts
have been taken before assigning bad credit status to account.
3. Analyzes accounts (for continued risk and/or credit limit changes) and releases orders
on Credit Hold daily.
4. Implements and/or assists with successful credit and collection practices resulting in
measurable declines in calculated DSO.
5. Researches and resolves payment issues such as chargeback’s, unauthorized
deductions, and policy compliance.
6. Manage the efficient collections of assigned accounts within the terms and conditions
of the company.
7. Develops and implements policies for billing, collections, and cash applications.
8. Maintains constant communication and builds relationships via phone and email
conversation with dealer personnel.
9. Assist in the financial planning with the help of cash flow forecasting.
10. Assists in month-end close activities, including accounts receivable reconciliation, bad debt
reserve, cash, and/or journal entry preparation.
11. Maintain accurate customer records within the ERP system.
12. Performs other similar and related duties as required.

Education: A.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience.


Experience: 5 or more years of experience in credit and collections. Construction and Manufacturing industry experience an asset.


Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
-Knowledge of generally accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements. Maintains a current awareness and understanding of and to fully complies with the company's code of ethics, independence rules and quality control practices.


-Must have strong financial control background and demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills. Must demonstrate good judgment, well developed business ethics, integrity, and consultancy skills.


-Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, organize, and accomplish a diversified workload. Able to analyze situations, identify options and implement effective solutions quickly and efficiently. Self-starter.


-Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to handle highly sensitive material appropriately and maintain a high level of confidentiality is required.


-Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.


-Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Able to provide clear and concise information and create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.


-Solid leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others. Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment.
