Windows Engineer Data Center Operations Contract 12 months
Location Austin, TX (Hybrid 2 days in office)

Windows Engineer to provide enterprise level Active Directory, Group Policy and Azure support for their state of the art Data Center.

Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
- At least 5 years. of experience managing Windows AD/Azure AD and managing Windows Servers
- At least 3 years of experience overseeing AD infrastructure
- Some familiarity with ServiceNow/Ticketing Systems
- Ability to follow complex workflow processes
- Strong communication capability with stakeholders
General Duties:
- Implement and administer directory services security policies, patching, standards, and procedures in coordination with Security and Information Security Service Component Provider
- Administer Federation Services within the Directory services environment (currently Active Directory Federation Services), other Federated services, and similar applications
- Interface with Service Provider support as needed, including opening tickets with Vendors when support is needed
- Participate in the annual review of machine plans and workload forecasts (long-range technology forecasts and technology refresh planning in this capacity planning process to ensure realization the full benefits of technology and performance trends)
- Advise and manage any upgrade or configuration changes of an existing operating system
- Test new versions of machines, operating system, and software prior to recommending the implementation of these products
- Work with and provide input on solutions from Solution Architects
- Provide Wintel L3, Cloud L3 support for all data centers
- Work with Applications tower team to implement any applications changes and upgrades
- Manage ticket queues as appropriate
- Create / Advise on processes
- Participate in on call rotation as necessary
- Ability to work with multiple vendors
- Assist in ongoing audit processes
