In this role, you'll be a vital player in operating heavy machinery with precision and skill, contributing to our mission of sustainable landfill management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks to ensure equipment functionality.
- Efficiently handle waste management tasks, including pushing, placing, and compacting waste.
- Operate various heavy machines for excavation, loading, processing, and transport tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints and effectively use GPS for grade control, along with Laser Grade Control Systems.
- Adapt and adjust project plans as needed, showcasing flexibility and problem-solving skills.
- Assist in labor-intensive tasks and participate in professional development workshops and trainings.
- Uphold stringent safety practices and foster positive communication within the company.
- Execute additional tasks as required by Field Foreman, Management, and/or Board of Directors.
Requirements:
- Preferred: Valid Class "A" CDL & GPS experience.
- Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience; applicants with less are still encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in operating at least five different types of heavy machinery.
- General construction experience relevant to landfill operations.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to safety.
