JOB SUMMARY

La Cocina's Bilingual Marketing & Social Media Strategist is a dynamic, highly creative and enthusiastic communicator looking to join La Cocina's team of social changemakers. As a key member of La Cocina's communications team, the Marketing & Social Media Strategist will manage the agency's social media platforms, including by designing captivating and culturally-affirming content, responding strategically to the overall demands of social media communications, and delivering strategic social media analytics that build the agency's social impact. Additionally, La Cocina's Bilingual Marketing & Social Media Strategist is also responsible for supporting the Marketing & Communications Supervisor with website development and updates, working collaboratively with La Cocina's diverse teams to produce excellent copy and creative materials used for outreach and community engagement efforts, and by producing excellent fundraising events as directed by their supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

WORK ENVIRONMENT/LOCATION

This position may be based out of La Cocina's Fort Collins and/or Denver office. The position is considered a hybrid position with three days required in-person, and one day working from home. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about attending one staff meeting in Denver and one in Fort Collins every month. Additionally, the work requires some commuting to/from La Cocina's offices in both locations in order to conduct meetings and/or participate in key training opportunities. Some travel may be required.

HOURS

This is a full time, exempt position approved for 32-hours per week. Additional hours may be available depending on the candidate's availability, expertise and skill, and enthusiasm for La Cocina's innovative work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

The physical demands described herein represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. 

MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT USED

Ability to operate all general office equipment including computer, printer, copier, fax, and phones. Must be able to work with graphic design software and materials related to the production of creative content.

CLASSIFICATION & PAY 

This position's starting salary is $27-$34 per hour, or $58,000 to $68,000 annually based on a 40-hour work week. La Cocina seeks to be competitive in all hiring practices, and will therefore consider applicants based on professional experience, creative skill, and ability to generate culturally affirming narratives and materials that demonstrate key qualifications and organizational alignment.
