JOB SUMMARY:

The Sheboygan Wraparound Services Program works with families referred by the Sheboygan County Division of Children and Family Services. Our team provides mentorship services and supervised visitation for youth and parents involved with Child Welfare and/or Youth Justice.

The Youth Support Specialist provides skill building and support to youth, and also supports and assists youth in the success of their individualized goals. Youth Support Specialists assist with services including: individual structured recreational activities that build social skills, crisis intervention, school support and parent contact.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE YOUTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST:

• Analyze youth history, strengths, and issues to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
• Implement and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth, and their families.
• Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
• Attend youth/family team meetings.
• Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
• Safely transport clients as needed.

LOCATION: Office is located in Sheboygan, WI. Local travel is required to meet clients out in the community, with mileage reimbursement. Some flexibility for hybrid/remote work when in-person meetings are not scheduled. Must be able to meet in-person with clients located in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.

HOURS: Part-time hours are varied and flexible. Evening and/or weekend availability is preferred.

SALARY: $20.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field.
