Job description The UI Architect will lead architecture and design of modern mobile and responsive front-end user interfaces
. This role will be responsible for,or assist in the creation and maintenance of current and future state system documentation, technology selection strategies, technical roadmaps, and enterprise standards as they relate to the user experience and customer facing systems. They will work with UX designers, UI engineers, and with senior leadership to create the building blocks for our native apps as well as responsive portals. This role requires excellent interpersonal communication and group presentation skills and will be used as a mentor to transition new ideas and technologies into the organization.
Responsibilities - Drive innovation and influence future applications and products
- Support enterprise modernization efforts
- Work with architecture and application teams to promote innovation and standardization
- Provide architectural leadership across projects
- Build UI interfaces using cutting edge technologies.
- Collaborate with engineers across the Digital Innovation team to iterate on the design and implementation of our product
- Work in an iterative manner that fits well with the development practices and pace within the team
- Demo your work for colleagues and members of the business team
- Conduct research and prototype new technologies that help to progress our products and platforms
- Build efficient and reusable front-end systems, frameworks and abstractions
- Debug and address UI performance issues
- Identify and communicate front-end best practices
Qualifications Highly Preferred - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology or business information systems or related field
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, specifically ES6 and associated languages like Elm
- Experience in Design Patterns.
- End to End developing and shipping mobile applications with open source technologies.
- Experience with modern web frameworks such as node.js, React.js, Redux, Webpack, Babel, Gulp
- Experience in React Native and related technologies for shipping mobile applications.
- Commanding grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and related web technologies like SASS
- Experience shipping mobile applications to the mobile application stores.
- Ability to work in areas outside of their usual comfort zone and get things done.
- Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
- Experience working with RESTful APIs
- Deep integration experience at UI layer
- Experience working on a cloud platform using Agile team practices
Preferred - Experience developing code across a full application stack
- Minimum three years relevant experience with advanced coding skills
- Experience designing and developing large distributed, mobile, or responsive web
- Experience working in a team-based, agile development environment
- Github profile with submissions to open source projects
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field
- Typically Minimum 6 Years Relevant Exp
- Four-year college degree and 6 or more years, and/or a high school diploma with 8 or more years professional experience with full life cycle design and development
