Job Description: Quality Inspector
- The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting components and products to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements.
- Inspection methods include Receiving Inspection; In-Process Inspection; Hydrostatic Inspection; and/or Final Inspection.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform testing as specified in routers; work instructions; test plans; and/or drawings.
- Measure products with various gauges including calipers, micrometers, thread gages, height stands, indicators, tape measures and related equipment.
- Ensure supplier receipts are compliant to drawing and purchase order requirements.
- Measure products for insulation resistance, dielectric withstanding voltage, and continuity with electronic test equipment.
- Perform visual inspection of products to include J-STD solder connections.
- Perform hydrostatic pressure testing of cable assemblies and connectors.
- Generate and maintain test records in paper and computerized databases.
- Generate non-conformance reports for products that fail to meet specifications.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements for Consideration: - High School diploma required.
- At least 2 years' experience testing or inspecting high compliance mechanical or electrical products.
- Able to read and understand complex specifications and technical drawings. Able to interpret wiring diagrams. Understand mathematical principles.
- Able to utilize MRP and computer systems and associated software.
- Experienced with use of hand measurement tools. Experience with electronic or hydrostatic testing equipment preferred. CMM or optical comparator experience ideal.
- Prefer knowledge of US Navy standards and material traceability requirements.
- High attention to detail and accuracy of work.
- Color vision and legible handwriting.
- Able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Due to ITAR regulations, candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents.
