We have an excellent opportunity for an accomplished CAD/PLM Application Manager to join our team in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for providing IT services based on respective platforms to all ELMA locations.
As a CAD/PLM Application Manager , this individual will perform operational tasks and complete projects and assignments executed and implemented with internal and external stakeholders in a customer-focused, cost-effective, innovative, and secure manner while troubleshooting and resolving any platform-related hardware, software, user access, or other issues.
This individual will organize recurrent key user meetings, participate in projects to gather user requirements and design, configure, test, and deploy applications while sharing responsibility for making necessary adjustments to meet global, local and legal needs. The individual will also monitor system performance and usage to ensure security and reliability, co-ordinate new software releases, fixes, and upgrades with technical teams and users, recommend new features or changes to configuration/workflows based on user feedback, support the service desk / IT hotline (1st, 2nd, and 3rd level support), and take on-call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, control, monitor and maintain IT services for operational use in heterogeneous environments at all ELMA locations.
- Organize recurrent key user meetings.
- participation in projects within own area of responsibility (like planning, software installation, interfacing, testing and data migration)
- Monitor the platform to ensure availability to all system users and services.
- Ensure platform documentation is up to date.
- Assist in developing procedures to ensure integrity of the platform and databases.
- Assist in ensuring that external/internal data management regulations and policies are adhered to, including security, audit, and privacy regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of platform subsystems to assign appropriate system access to users at various levels of the organization.
- Troubleshoots application software and database issues in a timely manner.
- Works as a systems analyst with business departments to define user requirements and develop data processing solutions.
- Maintains liaison with business units, technical staff, extended support organizations as well as vendors to resolve platform issues.
- Develops and presents training materials for end users.
- Maintains confidentiality of information disclosed during business operations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of CAD (Creo Parametric, Altium Enterprise) and PLM (PTC Windchill, Altium Vault, Altium 365) tools by name
- Demonstrate knowledge of systems analysis and information technology principles
- Ability to deal with a variety of problems and personalities while maintaining a professional and pleasant demeanor.
- Ability to exercise broad judgment and work with limited supervision.
- Support of our IT hotline / 1st level support
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualities:
- Good collaboration with end users
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Solid understanding of enterprise systems on Windows Operating Systems
- Experience with installing and configuring midsize enterprise applications on Windows Servers
- Strong focus on design, build, deployment, security, system optimization, customization, and project management
- Experience with software development best practices.
- Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to operate independently with a high threshold for dealing with uncertainty, while simultaneously collaborating with various functional and technical teams
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Must be able to work with limited supervision.
- Good understanding of corporate IT policies, procedures, standards, and service level commitments
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities, especially employees experiencing frustration with technology.
- Interprets or discusses information with others, which often involve terminology and concepts not familiar to many people; regularly provides advice and recommends actions involving complex issues.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering master’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
