Job description
Essential Functions:
- To assign the duties and responsibilities as required in N.J.A.C. 8:40, 8:40A, 8:41, and 8:41A and to meet the overall quality improvement needs of the department.
- Conducts self in a professional, dignified, and compassionate manner at all time.
- Capable of communicating clearly, effectively, via written and verbal means.
- Maintains a professional demeanor and appearance during all interactions.
- Ensures that all Policies and Procedures are followed.
- Responsible for maintenance of required certifications in accordance with RWJBH Mobile Health (MH) policies and all applicable State and Federal statutes and regulations.
- Responsible for baseline and continuing knowledge of RWJBH Mobile Health policies and procedures and all applicable State and Federal statutes and regulations concerning emergency medical services, basic life support ambulance service, EMT certification, etc.
- Interacts professionally with management, colleagues from other EMS agencies, public safety personnel, and other healthcare providers and members of the public.
Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required
- NJSDoH MICP/MICN
- AHA BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- PHTLS or ITLS instructor certification
- Prior training in HAZMAT, ICS, START Triage Training
- CEVO required
- Must possess instructorship in the following areas: BCLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in EMS with at least 3 years at the advanced life support level
