JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY
The Integration Engineer II is responsible for leveraging Covetrus approved integration platforms for
developing, evolving and implementing real-time and batch based system integrations between
enterprise business systems and other systems such as Covetrus products, other enterprise business
systems, customer/vendor systems, and ancillary or add-on systems. As part of their continuous
improvement mindset, they collaborate with stakeholders and Business Analysts to drive
standardization of like transaction sets and interfaces; focusing on innovation rather than
maintenance. This position lives our "never settle" value through periodic review and adjustment of
existing integrations and tools to ensure they grow with the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain high quality integration interfaces that support high availability, data integrity
and measurable performance standards
Maintain, and transition to legacy integration builds using Boomi, JAVA, .NET, C++ and other
platforms.
Receive, define and build system specifications, input/output processes and compatibility
requirements.
Engage in subsystems' design analysis and integrate with overall system.
Extend technical support during preparation, installation and system maintenance.
Create professional technical documentations, level 1 and level 2 support team instructions and
present them to stakeholders as needed
Provide level 3 (escalated) support for integrations.
Code integration activities and perform branch integration.
Develop and automate change validation to tools before rollout and handle validation.
Evaluate, select, roll out and support off-shelf tools to improve productivity. Contribute towards team,
department and company goals.
Execute and upgrade integrated interfaces.
Assist internal and external customers to test integrated interfaces.
Performs other duties as needed or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management
Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
Certificates, License & Registrations
Boomi Integration Developer Certification
Competencies (Skills & Abilities)
Dell Boomi integration development or similar iPaaS experience (Mulesoft, Snaplogic, etc)
Working knowledge of Javascript with the ability to understand and leverage 3rd party and custom
APIs
Have technical ability to understand application workflow and resolve technical issues
Basic knowledge of SQL, relational databases and integrating data
Knowledge and understanding computer hardware, software, and networking
Proven analytical and hands-on work to solve problems
Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate well with customers and other
engineers
Focused attitude to work with a strong attention to detail
