Job Duties:
This position functions in a low to medium technical capacity and is responsible for managing, maintaining, designing, installing, and troubleshooting various enterprise-level network services for the entirety of East Carolina University's campuses. This position is also accountable for network automation, disaster recovery, project management, and professional development.

Organizational Unit Overview:
Information Technology and Computing Services ( ITCS ) is the central agency that supports enterprise-wide computing at East Carolina University. ITCS , through innovative information technology initiatives and service, provides opportunities for the ECU community to excel in teaching, research, and service using state-of-the-market technology and collaborative environments. ITCS is first and foremost committed to providing excellent information technology support for faculty, staff, and students. ITCS partners with campus departments, other universities, and industry to make strategic investments in information technology infrastructure that will help maintain a competitive advantage in administrative applications, faculty research, and outreach to the state and nation. Network Engineering and Support is one of the many service areas provided within ITCS Network Services. The primary purpose of Network Engineering and Support team is the installation, deployment, maintenance, and automation of various network services, including enterprise-level network systems or services that are part of, affect or influence the enterprise network infrastructure. This team works with the Network Architect in developing the overall network design and will engage them for consultation services on major network issues and design changes that significantly impact or influence network performance.About East Carolina University
