Job description
We have an opening for an experienced Electrical Engineer. This individual will assume the role of Electrical Engineer for our organization and will join a team of other electrical professionals servicing a diverse base of clients throughout WV, OH and beyond. This is a full-time position located at any of our offices in West Virginia or Ohio.
Job Responsibilities :
- Plan and conduct independent electrical engineering work, demonstrating sound judgment in evaluating, selecting, applying, and adapting electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Prepare and modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and monitor work for compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices and standards.
- Perform electrical engineering designs for both industrial and commercial facilities.
- Possess advanced understanding of power distribution, including 15kV and 600V systems.
- Develop one-line diagrams, plans, details, and schedules.
- Conduct power studies, such as short circuit analysis and arc flash studies.
- Apply NFPA Guidelines, including National Electric Code (NEC) publication 70 and 70E.
- Design complete lighting systems, including calculations, layout, and controls.
- Create motor control designs and serve as a consultant for motor applications.
- Research and develop cost estimates.
- Provide manpower requirements for engineering proposals.
- Collaborate effectively with clients, vendors, and project field personnel.
- Participate in job site visits as the electrical technical project representative during construction phases.
- Develop process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
- Design process and field instrumentation, including application and integration.
- Possess knowledge of control system programming, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Additional certifications or licenses (e.g., Professional Engineer) are a plus.
Compensation:
- $70,000 - $110,000
