Marketing Media Specialist

While the day-to-day responsibilities of the Marketing Media Specialist (MMS) change, the general responsibilities for this role include supporting DonorConnect's social media, creative services, and special event efforts. Working closely with the Manager, Public Relations/Creative Services you will assume responsibility for the execution, production, publication, and promotion of digital media content. This content may include email marketing, landing pages, blogs, social media posts, videos, websites, and other collateral materials. The MMS will also serve as an in-house resource for company-wide projects that require video creation and editing, updating database content infrastructure, evaluation of digital tools for user-friendliness, and asset library maintenance. Finally, you will play a vital role in assisting with planning and executing special events. These events may include press conferences, fundraising, or other public-facing efforts.

This position offers a hybrid schedule of working 3 days in the office and working 2 days from home.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.

Training/Education/Certification:

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or social media
  required, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Knowledge of digital marketing (social, web, and email)

Experience Required:

• Competency in graphic design, video editing, and production
• Demonstrated knowledge in the execution of media and special events
• Experience identifying, researching, writing, and pitching newsworthy stories to media
  and influencers
• Participation in promoting a business or cause through social media

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Familiarity with all types of social media and their various uses
• Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and generation of inbound traffic
• Creative thinking and strong collaborator
• Solid interpersonal capabilities, ability to get along well with others
• Ability to work in a team setting, contributing to a collaborative environment
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions and/or consider alternative and diverse perspectives.
• Support public relations/public education team initiatives, including but not limited to in-person event setup/staffing and virtual event support
