JOB SUMMARY
Our Manchester NH based client is looking to bring on a temp to perm Benefits Specialist! As a Benefits Specialist you will play a crucial role in managing and administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans and leave policies (e.g., FMLA). You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, provide support to employees, and assist in general human resources activities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration:
- Administer and oversee employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans.
- Collaborate with insurance providers and benefits vendors to ensure seamless enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Conduct benefits orientations for new employees and assist with open enrollment periods.
FMLA Monitoring
- Monitor and track Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests and usage.
- Provide guidance to employees on FMLA eligibility and documentation requirements.
- Maintain confidential FMLA records and communicate with employees and supervisors regarding FMLA leave status.
General Human Resources Duties
- Assist in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain personnel records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits administration and human resources.
- Proficiency in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
