Position Description


The Energy Division is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to support the International Development Group on an anticipated USAID-funded project in Eastern Europe. The Senior Communications Manager will serve as a key liaison to the client to define communications priorities, and, along with the Communications Director, will help create and implement effective communication and reporting of project activities to relevant stakeholders.


This position will report to a Communications Director and have a matrixed line of accountability to the Project Director, Energy Division. This position could be based in Washington, DC, or the Research Triangle Park, North Carolina (RTI headquarters). Telecommuting will be considered on a case-by-case basis, though candidates based in the U.S. East Coast time zone are preferred. The position will be expected to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.


Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. This p osition is contingent upon award and funding.
