We are seeking a Technical Team Lead, Application Engineering to lead our Business Systems team in modernizing our communication platform to meet evolving business demands. As the Technical Team Lead, you will oversee a team responsible for managing servers, messaging and API management tools, and application development. You will play a pivotal role in guiding the team’s technical direction, fostering innovation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

• Lead a team to provide ongoing support and enhancements for our communication platform and related application environment.
• Directly supervise team members, including goal setting, budget management, and personal development.
• Assist the team in resolving technical problems and implementing projects, with a focus on modernizing our communication platform.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to develop technical and leadership skills within the team.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to drive innovative ideas and systems design efforts.
• Engage in proof-of-concept development initiatives to evaluate technologies for applicability and usability within our tech stack.
• Monitor resource allocations and costs for internal and external resources.
• Generate new ideas and consult with management to improve our area of responsibility.

• 3 – 7+ years of experience in technical leadership roles, with a focus on application development and modernization.
• Proven track record of successfully leading teams and delivering technical projects.
• Strong proficiency in managing servers, messaging and API management tools, and application development.
• Experience with Java, Node.js, or Python preferred, but other technologies are acceptable.
• Familiarity with agile and/or scaled agile frameworks (SAFe).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact seamlessly with technical and business stakeholders.
• Background in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance industry is a plus, but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
