**Job Description:**
Central Valley Fuego FC is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to serve as our Play-by-Play Commentator. As the voice of the team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the fan experience by providing engaging and insightful commentary during our matches. Reporting directly to the Director of Media Relations, you will work closely with our broadcast team to deliver high-quality coverage of all Central Valley Fuego FC games.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Live Commentary:** Provide engaging play-by-play commentary during Central Valley Fuego FC matches, capturing the excitement and intensity of the game for our fans.
2. **Preparation:** Conduct thorough research on both our team and opponents to enhance the quality and accuracy of your commentary. Stay informed about player statistics, team strategies, and league developments.
3. **Collaboration:** Work closely with the production team to coordinate broadcast logistics and ensure seamless integration of commentary with live video feeds.
4. **Storytelling:** Bring a creative and storytelling approach to your commentary, enriching the viewing experience for fans by providing context, analysis, and anecdotes throughout the match.
5. **Engagement:** Foster a strong connection with our fan base by actively engaging with viewers during broadcasts, responding to questions, comments, and feedback in real-time.
6. **Professionalism:** Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, adhering to broadcasting standards and representing Central Valley Fuego FC with integrity and enthusiasm.
7. **Flexibility:** Be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the team's match schedule. Travel to away matches may also be necessary.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience as a play-by-play commentator, preferably in soccer or related sports.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and engaging broadcasting voice.
- Deep knowledge of soccer and familiarity with USL League One or similar professional soccer leagues.
- Strong research and preparation skills, with the ability to deliver insightful commentary in real-time.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing game situations.
- Enthusiasm for Central Valley Fuego FC and a passion for connecting with fans through commentary.
