The remuneration for this role is $19.00 per hour.
Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.
For full-time employees with 1 year of service, a 401(k) with a company match is available on our eligibility dates.
Hybrid Medical Billing Specialist Highlights
This role begins as a contract assignment, with the potential for permanent placement based on attendance, performance, and business needs.
The required availability for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Onsite presence is required 2 days a month, and candidates must be within a 1-hour radius of Monroeville.
Hybrid Medical Billing Specialist Responsibilities
The Billing Specialist I is entrusted with the responsibility of qualifying, preparing, and submitting claims to Medicare Part B, Major Medical, and Medicaid. This involves collaboration with LTC facility staff, Omnicare pharmacy operations staff, prescriber offices, third-party payers, patients and/or their responsible parties, and claim processors.
Utilizing various operating systems and web-based programs, the individual will retrieve document images, gather supporting or additional information on fills, and work claims through to resolution, ensuring compliant, timely, and accurate billing practices.
The role includes outbound calling.
Hybrid Medical Billing Specialist Requirements
Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare reimbursement, medical insurance/billing, or related work.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with healthcare reimbursement systems.
Strong ability to prioritize daily tasks.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
Customer service skills coupled with the ability to thrive in a team environment.
Experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Minimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)
Entry-level position; 0-2 years of pharmacy billing experience.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Proficiency in computer skills, requiring basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and good typing skills.
