Job description
Job Summary:
The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lounge Manager to oversee the operations of our hotel's lounge. The Lounge Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and guest experience, managing staff, developing and implementing procedures, and maintaining inventory and budgets. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the hospitality industry, strong leadership skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary in the hospitality/restaurant industry. The position also includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plans, and PTO.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the hotel’s lounge, ensuring exceptional service and guest experience
- Train, manage, and motivate lounge staff, including bartenders, servers, and support staff
- Develop and implement procedures and protocols for the lounge, including opening and closing procedures, guest service standards, and health and safety protocols
- Maintain inventory and budgets, including ordering and stocking supplies and managing costs
- Monitor and analyze sales and financial reports to make strategic business decisions
- Collaborate with other departments, such as food and beverage, housekeeping, and front desk, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional guest experience
- Handle guest complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for lounge staff
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competition, and make recommendations for improvement and innovation
- Work closely with the hotel's marketing and sales team to promote the lounge and increase revenue
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a managerial position in the hospitality/restaurant industry
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory management and cost control
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Point of Sale systems
- Must be able to adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and regulations
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
