Legal Intern Job Description: Monogram Foods is a packaged foods producer and private label provider for strategic partners throughout the United States. Hours: 15 hours/week
Compensation: Commensurate with major and classification level
Job Responsibilities Under the general supervision of the Chief Legal Counsel, the legal intern is responsible for performing administrative and clerical functions in support of the needs of the company's Law Department, while exhibiting professionalism, reliability, good judgment, discretion, and the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality when required under the applicable company policies.
What You Will Do: - You will assist the Monogram Legal Team with timely and thorough legal research on a variety of areas
- You will prepare written memoranda and correspondence on key areas and issues, including, commercial contracts, compliance, regulatory requirements, and labor and employment matters
- You will create and edit presentations, as needed
- You will attend periodic legal team meetings
- You will complete other assignments and projects as requested by members of the Monogram Legal Team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Qualifications: - Must be actively enrolled as a law student in an accredited college/university as a current 2L,3L or as a student of paralegal studies with a bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated academic success (minimum 3.0 GPA)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Experience in SharePoint preferred
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
