The Budget Management Section is seeking a student assistant to join our team. We are a small group of supportive and hard-working individuals who are passionate about delivering quality products and services. In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist in projects and meetings, utilize analytical skills, and be exposed to the state budgeting process.
Under general direction of the Administrator II and in a learning capacity, the student assistant will work the routine functions and provide general assistance to the External Budget Team. The incumbent will be working with various budget analysts, assisting in performing assignments that have division or department-wide impact and related to the administration and department’s budget.

This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.

Must be a college student enrolled in classes during the regular term (Fall, Spring and Winter, if applicable), at an accredited college or university and carrying a minimum of six semester units (or nine quarter units for undergraduate students), with a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
