Job Summary
As a member of the Procurement team, and reporting to the Director of Procurement Governance, the Procurement Program Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing various aspects of our procurement programs and influencing the overall departmental strategy.
The Procurement Program Manager will collaborate across the broader strategic sourcing organization assisting and leading in various areas including contracting administration and value capture forms and governance. The manager will set a best-in-class communication strategy by developing presentation templates, building presentations, and providing program updates to leadership.
Expected Contributions
Create and meticulously maintain project documentation, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders. Guide the project team through each phase, fostering positive and productive team dynamics.
Contribute to Steering Committee updates, providing accurate and insightful information that aligns with organizational strategies and goals.
Take a lead role in the Contract Administration process, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements. Collaborate effectively with legal and procurement teams in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts. Monitor contract performance and maintain open communication channels with vendors.
Develop standardized PowerPoint templates, working closely with stakeholders to create visually appealing presentations that are consistent and adhere to branding guidelines.
Lead the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures, establishing governance mechanisms to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Analyze data from value capture forms and other procurement templates to identify areas for improvement and optimization in procurement processes.
Prepare and deliver program updates to leadership, summarizing key achievements, challenges, and upcoming initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for updates and present information in a clear and concise manner tailored to different leadership levels.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the procurement function and implement optimization initiatives. Analyze existing processes, workflows, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and drive continuous improvement.
Perform similar duties in support of achieving business goals as required.
Candidate Profile:
Education
Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
MBA or master’s degree of Science/Graduate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline strongly preferred.
PMP certification highly desirable.
Experience
Three plus years as a Program Manager in supply chain, procurement or related field.
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to lead procurement projects from initiation to completion.
Experience streamlining procurement operations through efficient processes.
Skills and Attributes
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of results.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven experience in developing and managing PowerPoint templates.
Familiarity with legal terminology and understanding of contractual risks and mitigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
