As the Test Development Engineering Manager with MultiTech, you will have the opportunity to motivate and direct a team of engineers in product validation and the migration of new products into manufacturing. Our ideal candidate will work effectively and collaboratively across Product Development and Manufacturing teams, making recommendations for best practices, efficiencies and cost effectiveness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Integral role in developing company production test strategy including hardware and software architecture
- Lead production test development function and test team members
- Ensure team performance feedback and reviews, as well as team and individual training requirements and development needs are completed
- Drive improvement by identifying, implementing and overseeing production test development and product validation best practices
- Plan and schedule work assignments based on priority
- Facilitate the creation of functional test equipment, software, and procedures for testing new products and improving efficiency
- Partner in the decision making for test and manufacturing capacity and ability
- Establish the product quality criteria and requirements (from both the customer and manufacturing perspective)
- Develop appropriate quality standards, automated test scenarios and test & inspection methods
- Analyze root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: - BS in Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum2 years of direct people management experience required
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft) and software programming languages (Teraterm, Python, Labview, other)
- Familiar with design software
- Strong understanding of test principles, philosophies and best practices
- Experience as a Systems or Test Engineer, with exposure to both hardware and software development
- Exposure to, and demonstrated understanding of, design for manufacturing, assembly, testability, safety and reliability
- Knowledge of lean principles
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience are required
