DMI, LLC is seeking a SENIOR ARCHITECT who will l ead and oversee the design and development of AWS-based applications, including both new applications and the migration of on-premise applications to AWS.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the design and development of AWS-based applications, including both new applications and the migration of on-premise applications to AWS.
- Collaborate with UI and back-end developers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end components.
- Utilize full-stack development skills to provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing applications and to develop new features as required.
- Implement best practices for continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) using GitLab pipelines and ensure comprehensive testing coverage through automated testing scripts using tools such as Cypress.
- Design secure applications, networks, and devices, and implement risk mitigation activities to ensure the security and integrity of systems.
- Implement proactive monitoring, dashboards, and canaries to achieve 99.99% system availability and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Lead Agile teams in delivering business value in each sprint or iteration, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and leveraging the appropriate mix of resources and skills.
E ducation and Years of Experience:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in AWS development, including Amazon Aurora implementation.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Extensive experience with AWS services such as Fargate, Lambda, S3, ECS, Aurora MySQL, SQS, and OpenSearch.
- Proficiency in UI/UX design, demonstrated through completion of a design certification program or equivalent work experience.
- Strong full-stack development skills, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience developing front-end using the Angular framework and back-end software development with Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with GitLab pipeline CI/CD and testing knowledge, with the ability to write scripts for automated testing using Cypress or similar tools.
- Knowledge and skills in securing applications, networks, and devices, with a focus on risk mitigation activities.
- Proven track record of achieving high system availability through proactive monitoring and canary deployments.
