We are looking for a Budget and Contract Specialist to join our company full time in Monroe, NC. Our company is preparing a significant expansion of its clinical research operations, including expanded infrastructure and new clinical trial site locations. We are looking for a Budgets and Contract Specialist to help lead these expansion efforts. Only candidates with relevant clinical budgets and contracts experience will be considered for this role. The perfect candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong work ethic, and be excited by the opportunity to build a Budgets and Contracts function within a start-up environment. Remote candidates will be considered if they have extensive experience in clinical trial budget negotiations.

Since 2015, our company has become one of the highest performing clinical trial centers in the United States. The company works on a diverse array of landmark clinical trials, including studies investigating treatments for pulmonary, metabolic, cardiology, psychiatric, infectious diseases, and vaccine studies for preventing infectious diseases.

Duties:
- Reviewing and negotiating all new/ongoing budgets and contracts from pharmaceutical study sponsors and maximizing the income potential for each clinical trial.
- Drafting and submitting justifications to sponsors for certain budget items to substantiate our budget increase requests.
- Inputting, maintaining, and updating all budgets into the company's Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
- Generating, submitting, and following up on invoiceable items as outlined in the study budgets.
- Drive and create goals and KPI's for this new area

Schedule:
-Full time (Monday- Friday)
-Remote candidates will only be considered if they have extensive experience in clinical trial budget negotiations.
-Remote candidates will be expected to visit the company headquarters monthly.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance or related field preferred.
- Experience negotiating +100 clinical contracts across multiple therapeutic areas.
- Experience and track record in maximizing overhead in a clinical trial context.
- Expert in understanding market rates for clinical procedures in clinical research
- Expert understanding in billable rates/hours for principal investigators, sub-investigators, site operations managers, and study coordinators.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience supporting teammates and leaders in a regional environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Advanced in MS Excel

Salary (range):
-$85k-$100k per year
