Globe 24-7 in partnership with their client in Nevada, United States is in search of a Technical Specialist, Metallurgy.

Position Overview   

We are looking for a Technical Specialist in Metallurgy to join our project team. The successful candidate will be part of a team consisting of engineers, geologists, operations personnel, hydrogeologists, and other technical specialists. This is a senior-level position requiring significant experience in operational activities and knowledge of regulatory compliance related to mineral processing and tailings management.

 
The Responsibilities

 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Assist the Project Manager in project delivery by conducting advanced technical metallurgical analyses to determine optimal process solutions for complex refractory ores, offering strategic operational and closure recommendations.

Play a pivotal role in developing a world-class refractory gold asset from pre-feasibility stages to operational phases.

Collaborate closely with geology and process teams to innovate and implement best practices for economically extracting gold from complex refractory ores.

Identify project scopes to explore innovative opportunities for optimizing existing process facilities to efficiently process ores specific to the project.

Plan, execute, and analyze testwork programs to evaluate the feasibility and value of various ore treatment conditions.

Demonstrate project management capabilities across engineering, forecasting, funding, construction, and commissioning phases.

Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills, providing technical support, analysis, and training to stakeholders within the process group.

Work towards attaining Qualified Person (QP) status, fulfilling associated duties and providing technical oversight.

Ensure accurate collection, compilation, analysis, interpretation, and application of metallurgical data to communicate mineral processing procedures and operational costs effectively to stakeholders and management.

Appropriately budget, forecast, and communicate mineral processing work requirements for the project.

The outlined responsibilities represent the scope of work assigned and may not encompass all tasks.

Qualifications & Experience  

A Bachelor of Science degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Geochemistry, or a similar Process-related field is necessary.

Candidates must possess ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience in processing, with at least five (5) years specifically focused on gold processing.

Essential skills include the ability to compile and analyze intricate metallurgical data and effectively communicate findings through both written and oral formats.
