As our new Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for processing clinical billing for our mental health clinics, ensuring that our Therapists can continue to provide life-changing services to our diverse communities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BILLING SPECIALIST:

• Determine which claims from insurance are outstanding and organize this data into the correct form to complete follow-up tasks.
• Follow up on outstanding claims as well as any rejections and denials from insurance.
• Update the eligibility and benefits of all clients who have billing to be submitted to insurance for payment.
• Create the final "billing day" report and communicate any issues and steps to resolve said issues.
• Answer any billing/coding questions as they arise.
• Assure timely and accurate billing.
• Recommend ways to improve the quality of invoicing and coding procedures.
• Manage effective and efficient billing communications, primarily through email and also through phone interaction as needed.

LOCATION: Remote (WFH). Office is headquartered in Kenosha, WI.

SCHEDULE: Flexible work hours between 7:00am-5:00pm

SALARY: $21.00-23.00 per hour

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be a resident of Wisconsin or Illinois
• Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least three years of experience with medical billing is required
• Medical Billing and Coding certification is preferred
