This amazing apprenticeship opportunity will lead to a career and certification as an Optometric Vision Therapist. You will learn therapeutic techniques and teaching methods to improve people's vision skills. The power of vision can transform a life!

We have 3 locations: Beachwood, North Royalton, and Westlake, Ohio. Our greatest need is currently in Beachwood. This is a part-time position. The schedule is Monday -Thursday, 2:00 pm-7:00 pm, with opportunities to increase hours and grow professionally. Candidates must have a love for others, a creative mindset, the ability to learn and teach, and the desire to help others learn vision skills that will help them feel the joy of success at school, work, home, or in their sport.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Study techniques and learn exercises and procedures.
• Follow treatment plans and provide appropriate recommendations.
• Provide patient/client education.
• Participate in the practice's performance initiatives.
• Organize and clean equipment and therapy space.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation including daily notes and progress notes.
• Maintain compliance with professional, accrediting, and regulatory standards of care.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and follow company policies and procedures.
• Participate in educational opportunities to advance in career opportunities.
• Support social media and marketing efforts.
• Participate in fun team-building initiatives.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is creative, inspirational, and enjoys working with others. The candidate who has the natural ability to observe a person performing a skill, analyze their performance, and use strategies to effectively teach new skills with encouraging motivation, will thrive in this position.

An associate degree or more in the fields of Education, Therapy, Art, Science, or Coaching is preferred. Prior experience working with children and/or adults with special needs is a plus.
