We're currently looking for a Summer 2024 Legal and External Affairs Intern to join our team. The position will be at the following location Franklin, TN and will be a 12 week full time internship role from May 2024- August 2024.

The Intern will work closely with experienced lawyers, government affairs executives, paralegals and related professionals, and will be exposed to a broad spectrum of the department operational and administrative projects. Responsibilities may include basic legal/regulatory research and writing, generating executive presentations, presenting to department members on issues of interest and applicability in the automotive industry, supporting department operational and administrative initiatives, participating in meetings with business clients to learn more about how Nissan drives innovation to enrich people's lives.
In order to qualify for this role, you must:
- Currently be enrolled in Class of 2026 J.D. student at an ABA accredited law school or undergraduate University student with pre-law focus.
- GPA of 3.0 or above
- Superior academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint a plus.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to the highest quality of client service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, adaptable and flexible to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while handling multiple projects.
- Experience or interest in business and a corporate environment.
- Genuine interest in the automotive industry.
- Ability to perform work onsite at NNA HQ in Franklin, Tennessee.
- Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive matters required, and knowledge of online legal research tools preferred.
- Desire to work in a dynamic, fun, flexible yet challenging environment, with wonderful people and a positive outlook.
- Strong organization ability with keen attention to detail
- Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
