POSITION SUMMARY: The Graphic Designer is responsible for all Club illustrations and content and provides a supporting role in all graphic designs and creative visual concepts for the Club as well as administrative support for the website and other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates consistent and quality illustrations and content for the Club that reflect its brand.
• Maintains and expands the Royal Palm brand through correct use of logo, colors, patterns, fonts, icons, layouts, and other required creative assets.
• Offers a supporting role in the creation of all literature for the Club including illustrations, flyers, menus, emails, magazine publication, social media, digital signage and other such creative requests.
• Assists in photographing events and taking videos for Club publications (digital and print).
• Maintains and expands on the content of the website and Royal Palm App.
• Assists with the design, writing, editing, proofreading and production of guides, brochures, presentations, power point presentations, calendars, invitations, signage, etc.
• Reviews all mass emails for correct spelling, grammar, and content and enhance such template designs as needed.
• In coordination with the Director of Internal Marketing and Communications, plans, monitors, and creates assets for the ongoing company presence on social media.
• Provides illustration and graphic design expertise internally.
• Completes all administrative tasks as needed by the Director of Internal Marketing & Communications.

• Assists with communications for the Club, General Manager, Board, committees, club events, catering, interest groups, boaters in and out of the Marina, and clubs within the Club such as WGA, Women's Club, Men's Club, Croquet, Kids Club, Entertainment, Golf, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Ability to create consistent and quality illustrations and print/digital content that can be used in a variety of print or digital mediums
• Strong graphic design, layout skills, and UI/UX understanding
• Common Illustration software knowledge
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Photoshop)
• Creativity and Flexibility
• Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
• Excellent organization and time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of various social media platforms, more specifically Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
• Interpersonal and communication skills that can handle strong feedback and constructive criticism
• Ability to understand, interpret and write about Club industry information

Minimum Education Level

• Bachelor's degree in illustration and/or graphic design or related field with an online portfolio.

Experience

• Must have 1 to 2 years of experience in illustration and/or graphic design for digital and print media (some out of college with a strong portfolio, may be considered).
• Club, Resort, Hotel, or other hospitality arenas experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated Videography skills preferred.
• Interest in photography a plus.
