Responsibilities:
- Repair, modify, calibrate, adjust and troubleshoot moderately complex instruments.
- Perform initial evaluation by examining instrument and analyzing needed repairs. Crosscheck findings with customer comments regarding instrument performance
- Prepare cost estimates for repair of instruments, prepare and submit documentation to Service Coordinators and/or customers regarding repair efforts.
- Picks parts from the warehouse. Transfers material to shipping dock.
- Pack and ship instruments according to customer specification, generate delivery notes and determine method of shipping.
- Ensure that the instrument is received with the correct paperwork and maintain service order documentation for repairs performed.
- Maintain relevant information in computer systems.
- Complete and maintain associated paperwork.
Qualifications:
Experience and Education Requirements :
- Associate's degree in electronics or electronic technology
- 3 years of relevant work experience with electronic instrumentation may be substituted for an associate's degree
- Minimum 12 months electronics manufacturing or related experience.
- Soldering experience
Experience and Education Preferred:
- Associates degree in electronics
- At least 6 months experience repairing electronics
- R.I.T.E., C.A.R.E., F.I.R.S.T certification preferred.
