Who we are:
The Division of Nutritional Sciences (the Division) plays a leading role in national and international nutrition research, teaching, and public engagement. Focal areas for faculty research include precision nutrition, metabolism, lifecycle nutrition, microbiome, and nutrient interactions, food and nutrition systems, health equity, and social and behavioral nutrition.
What you will do:
We are seeking a full-time Accounts Rep V to advance the Division's research, teaching, and outreach missions. The Accounts Rep V will provide post-award financial and non-financial support for faculty-sponsored and non-sponsored projects and accounts, including those with complex portfolios of fund sources, contracts, and international engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and process human resources, visa, and related financial transactions for students, staff, and academic employees.
- Work closely with faculty to provide financial analyses, projections, guidance on policies and sponsor requirements and procedures, and in completing post-award actions.
- Monitor awards and accounts and advise faculty and others as needed to ensure timely and appropriate use of funds and risk-based adherence to policies and regulations.
- Prepare/process invoices and complex sponsor billings and related reports. Advise the Executive Director of Administration and Finance of potential issues, investigate problems, and recommend solutions.
- Investigate and provide effective, efficient, and appropriate compliant options to achieve non-standard business arrangements necessary for cutting-edge research.
- Provide interpretation of and guidance on current policies, procedures, and sponsor regulations to colleagues and Division staff, students, faculty, and leadership.
- Provide data and reporting for sponsored award compliance and costing, such as space inventory and effort certification. Complete projects to support process improvement, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion , and well-being.
- Associate degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field and at least 4 year's experience in accounting, financial processes and analyses, and business operations, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Proven effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present data and information for ease of customer use and understanding.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively assess situations and investigate and resolve problems independently and with colleagues/supervisor as appropriate for the situation.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality are required, as are exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and team members.
- Ability to assess operations and identify and propose means of using technology and process improvement to streamline and reduce burden. Must be proficient in advanced features of Excel and in using and extracting data from organization-level financial and business operating systems.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, goal, and detail-oriented work style, meticulous and consistent follow through on research projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds.
- Experience preferably in an academic, not-for-profit, or governmental entity that is supported by grant funds. Experience with aspects of pre-grant operations, such as budgeting and proposal development, policies/regulations, and procedures.
