Customer Marketing Manager
Our Fortune 100 insurance client in Bridgewater, NJ is looking for a Customer Marketing Manager to join their team for a long-term contract. In this role, you will partner closely with internal customers in sales, colleagues across marketing and product teams, and external agency partners to deliver compelling communications that persuade customers to carry our client’s products for their employees. You will work to enable sales teams to close more sales by telling powerful, differentiated stories that address customer needs, expand a storytelling approach to drive retention, and enhance the approach to the full customer experience to drive growth in core and voluntary products.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales organization to understand customer challenges and develop compelling communications that address differentiated solutions
- Support the development and implementation of storytelling innovation opportunities
- Liaise with integrated agency teams to deliver on high-volume, fast-paced marketing needs
- Translate organizational needs into actionable marketing strategies, stories, and assets
- Participate in daily team “Sparks” sessions for in-house creative concepting, big ideas, tagline development, etc.
- Develop, evaluate and optimize opportunities to improve internal processes (briefing, scaling, tracking)
- Act with urgency to shepherd projects through completion, using project management skills and systems (Workfront)
- Share marketing plans with sales executives and communication teams
- Lead maintenance and organization of asset sharing platforms (HighSpot, SharePoint, OneDrive, Script/Tag database)
- Review sales communications for compliance with information updates, footnotes, and disclosures
- Manage legal submissions, applying feedback, obtaining approvals, and monitoring assets for compliance and expiry
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant discipline
- 5-8+ years of diverse and progressively senior marketing experience – a well-rounded Marketer with relevant expertise in B2B/B2B2C Marketing
- Balance of strategic leadership matched with attention to detail and organization to ensure high-volume, fast-paced needs are met
- Commitment to high-quality communications designed to encourage positive decision-making with focus on influence, design, grammar, and brevity
- Robust experience and expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, Word; experience with HighSpot/Workfront a plus
- Flexibility to employ an ownership mindset with personal accountability for great work, while utilizing a service mindset in approach to internal customers
- Positive attitude with ability to influence sales organization and other partners to adopt new strategies
