Location: Mechanicsburg, PA (On-site initially, with potential for remote work later)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (Flexible schedule available)

💰 Competitive Pay: Starting at $24.50/hr

What You'll Be Doing:

As an Inpatient Coding Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient coding of patient records. Your responsibilities will include:

Reviewing diverse inpatient medical records to classify patient diagnoses and procedures with precision.
Collaborating with medical staff to clarify documentation and ensure accurate code assignment.
Keeping up-to-date with coding guidelines and regulations to maintain compliance.
Providing guidance and support to improve documentation practices for accurate reimbursement.
What We're Looking For:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Completion of a medical coding education program, with a focus on inpatient coding.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Preferred Qualifications (but not required):

Relevant certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC-H.
Experience in ICD-10-CM coding and DRG validation.
Previous experience with inpatient hospital medical records coding.
