Please note: This is a part-time position with an average of 30 hours per week.
- Capturing and editing photo and video assets: Capture breath-taking visuals of our thrilling rides, high-energy entertainment, mouthwatering food and beverages, special events, general park happenings, behind-the-scenes action and more.
- Content creation: Helping craft engaging posts, stories, reels and blogs for our social accounts and website (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, etc.).
- Graphic designing: Design professional graphics and visual elements that elevate our digital presence.
- Aiding in digital tasks: Assist with content creation and management for the park’s website and app.
- Project management: Work with designers to create physical and digital signage for upcoming events, season pass sales, product offerings, etc. Coordinate with internal team to print and place within the park.
- Execute in-park activations for partnerships secured by the Strategic Alliances team including coordination with stakeholders and on-site support.
- Ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends and holiday periods.
- Experienced photographer and videographer who can edit content quickly and professionally.
- Experience with using graphic design tools to create multimedia designs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills: Able to craft clear, concise and high-performing content copy for our online platforms.
- Creativity and storytelling ability: Can develop original and captivating content that resonates with Kings Island fans.
- Proficiency in social media platforms: Extensive knowledge of all things social media (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, etc).
- Ability to stay updated on trends and algorithms: Experience creating high-quality content that professionally integrates current trends and/or accounts for the preferences of any given platform's algorithm.
- Excellent organizational skills: Can successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively: Thrives when working in teams and on solo projects.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn: Eager to stay updated on industry trends and all things Kings Island.
Preferred:
- Experience in content creation, communications, marketing, etc. (Experience in the amusement park industry is a plus.)
- Experience in website and/or app management.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, InDesign, After Effects, etc. Also, proficiency in utilizing Apple Inc. products, CapCut Pro, Canva Pro, etc. is necessary.
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment: Comfortable handling tight deadlines and changing priorities while producing content worthy of representing our world-class amusement park.
- Portfolio of relevant work: Showcasing your skills and abilities in content creation, graphic design, and digital media.
- Knowledge of content marketing strategies: Ability to develop and implement effective content marketing campaigns.
