Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Harlan, Iowa is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Primary Duties:
• Daily maintenance of greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
• Maintains all grounds and course maintenance equipment.
• Maintains irrigation system.
• Manages the agronomy and chemical applications while maintaining accurate record keeping.
• Works independently and should be an effective problem solver.
• Hires and supervises part-time course staff.
• Orders supplies and materials within budgetary limitations.
• Coordinates with General Manager to assist with tournaments and/or special course events.
• Completes duties efficiently while working around member, guest and tournament play.
• Attends monthly board meetings to provide course updates.
Requirements:
Degree, certificate or prior experience in turf management or related field preferred but not required.
Experience in general maintenance with an emphasis on maintenance of lawn equipment.
Possession of or ability to obtain pesticide applicators license within one year of employment.
Compensation:
$40,000.00 per year.
