JOB SUMMARY: Regional Sales Director
MP's Client is seeking an individual to join their growing sales team as a full-time remote Regional Sales Director in the Midwest. If you enjoy working with investment advisors, small and mid-sized retirement plan clients, have expertise in retirement plan design, and like a competitive environment building out a sales territory, this may be a good fit for you! The person in this role will report to the National Sales Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Qualified candidates must reside in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Missouri.
- Strengthen the brand in the territory by pro-actively building and managing relationships with advisors, TPAs, and key strategic partners.
- Meet or exceed an annual sales target of $250,000 to $350,000 in new business revenue (60 to 90 new clients).
- Communicate with advisors and sponsors to understand needs, develop solutions, and strengthen relationships.
- Work with an Internal Sales Associate to build proposals and plan illustrations.
- Participate in various marketing initiatives, including presentations at local and regional events.
- Work with advisors and clients to complete setup paperwork and coordinate plan setup.
- Utilize technology to meet with investment advisors, third party administrators, and prospective clients virtually.
- Support key relationships through periodic travel.
- Interact with operations team members to promote process improvement.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities as needed.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
- Education: Bachelors Degree
- Experience: 3+ years of retirement plan sales
- Experience in an open-architecture environment is a plus!
- Designations/Certifications: QPFC (Qualified Plan Financial Consultant), QKA (Qualified 401(k) Administrator) or equivalent designation (or willingness to attain within 18 months)
- Knowledge/Skills:
- Understanding of retirement plan design, retirement products, and investments.
- Professional and concise verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
- Builder of collaborative rapport with stellar interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Can do, people focused attitude who thrives on accountability, credibility, and trustworthiness.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Location: Remote opportunity. Must reside in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Missouri . There is periodic travel but less than 25% per year!
- Compensation Expectation: Base Salary Expectations are between $85k - $100k based on experience and location. However, we do expect the Regional Sales Director to have a target of $140k - $180k within the first year (including bonus/commission).
