Position Summary/Description:

The UNC Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry in Chapel Hill is expanding our division. We are seeking a child psychiatrist to provide clinical care on the Child & Adolescent Consult Liaison Service at UNC Hospitals. The consult liaison child psychiatrist would work within a team setting that include Psychologists, a Social Worker and Child Psychiatrists. Applicant will also have the opportunity to provide clinical services in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Programs. The outpatient setting would be faculty practice providing direct care to patients and families, tele-psychiatry and/or integrative care clinics. The majority of position time would be spent within the CL service. Additionally, this position will include some time providing direct patient care in our expanding virtual care program that may include a variety of patient care settings (including outpatient psychiatry, emergency room psychiatry, and consult-liaison psychiatry), which can be tailored for the clinical interest of the faculty member. This is a full-time fixed term (clinical) positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The rank will be based on the qualifications of the applicants.

Education and Experience:

The successful candidate should have strong clinical skills and demonstrated teaching skills necessary to enable them to successfully provide educational and training experiences for medical students, residents, fellows, other health care trainees, and clinicians. Candidates should have clinical experience working with children and adolescent patients of all ages.
