Department Overview

 

The HR Employee Relations team supports the organization by serving as the initial point of advice, problem resolution, and facilitation in the areas of employee relations, performance management, and employee discipline; provides interpretation of related policies, procedures, and practices. The team identifies, responds, and analyzes specific employee relations concerns and makes recommendations to management. 

 

Position Summary

 

The Expert HR Consultant works with a team of professionals who are responsible for advising leadership, monitoring, and addressing performance management, employee discipline, and employee relations. In this role, you will provide interpretation of policies and employment law and will also serve as an employee advocate. You will act as a liaison between departments/divisions that impact the employee employment experience including recruiting, worker’s compensation, leave of absences, payroll, and compensation. This role may also work closely with the HR Investigations team that addresses complex misconduct issues. The Expert HR Consultant should demonstrate strong foundational HR knowledge with a specialty in Employee Relations.

 

The position is hybrid working from your remote office and in-person for meetings or collaboration as business needs require.

 

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.  Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.​  This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.   

 

A reasonable salary range is:​

 

Bay Area Minimum: $118,000

Bay Area Maximum: $188,000
