Job description

ARETUM, a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist II (Environmental) to join our team. As a Compliance Specialist II (Environmental) at ARETUM, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality control for all SAAs to ensure containers are compliant and waste is disposed of accordingly.
• Escort visitors and personnel during inspections of SSA and Storm Water locations.
• Conduct weekly inspections of all locations where storm water may be of concern.
• Submit quarterly reports to DPW of all Storm Water related findings.
• Provide DPW and EPA output and inventory of specific chemicals used and released into the air through fume hoods, boilers, generators, and parts washers.
• Send semi-annual and annual reports to DPW, FADEQ, RCRA and EPA to remain in compliance.
• Conduct daily building checks to ensure fire extinguishers, AEDs and exit lights are operational.
• Assist with Safety SAV inspections and repair issues.
• Create and revise SOPs and JHAs.
• Administer CPR/AED training to employees upon request.
• On standby and maintain equipment and materials for spill responses.
• Create work orders and purchase packages.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• HAZCOM certified.
• RCRA certified.
• OSHA 10-hour completion certificate.
• 2-4 years related Environmental Compliance experience.
