We are seeking a Director of Residential to join our team.

Job summary:
The Director of Residential will support the Residential team. The position requires interaction with vendors, customers, manufactures, suppliers, and field staff. The Director of Residential reports to the Director of Operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversees schedules and assignments for the department.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
• Oversees residential managers.

Responsibilities:
• Oversees residential projects, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
• Reviews production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
• Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
• Assists Director of Operations with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new operation methods.
• Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills.
• Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations.
• Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested.
• Supervises equipment purchases, personnel, and projects.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• At least ten years of experience in construction management required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Thorough understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations for wood framing.
• Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make intelligent and quick decisions, works well under pressure, and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
• Ability to effectively multitask while analyzing and solving problems.
• Thorough understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
• Ability to speak Spanish preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• May require travel.
• Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
• Must be on call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
