Title: Full Time Research Assistant Section: Full-Time Nonacademic Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, UNITED STATES JEL Classification: I2 -- Education and Research Institutions Keywords: Public Policy Education Applied Microeconomics Full Text of JOE Listing: This full-time research assistant position is for a highly motivated and organized individual who wants to gain research experience in the economics of education and applied microeconomics. The Research Assistant will help investigate the impact of a major school desegregation program on students' academic, employment, civic engagement, housing and neighborhood choice, social, and other outcomes. The Research Assistant will work on a range of research tasks, including managing data collection, data analysis, creating and managing research datasets using Stata, and preparing analyses for presentations and research papers. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in economics, public policy, education, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related field. Strong quantitative and programming skills are required. Prior research experience and experience with Stata, R, or a comparable software package is strongly preferred. This position is intended to act as a pathway to graduate school for candidates who plan to apply to an Economics, Public Policy, Education, or related Ph.D. program in the future.
