Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is actively seeking two (2) part-time Janitorial Crew Members to join its Cleaning Services program. As a member of the team, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining general cleanliness and orderliness within the designated facilities she/he/they are assigned.

Job Duties

The Food Service Worker is responsible for the following job essential job duties:

• Emptying trash from offices, public areas, and restrooms.
• Wiping down drinking fountains, and dining tables.
• Cleaning and restocking restrooms, as needed.
• Dusting common areas.

Location

This position will work on the Davis Behavioral Health Layton Campus located at 2250 North Robins Dr., Layton, Utah 84041

Shift

The successful candidate will work the following schedule:

Position 1

• Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

Position 2

• Monday through Friday 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Compensation

Starting pay for this position is $ per hour.

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess strong verbal communication skills.
• Be able to work independently and/or as part of a team.
• Be able to carry at least 50 pounds.
• Be able to work on the weekend.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be able to successfully pass both a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background screening.

Desired Skills

In addition to the required minimum qualifications, the successful candidate should have the following skills:

• Previous experience as a janitor preferred but not necessary
• Have a willingness to learn.
• Be responsible and dependable.
• Be comfortable working around adults with serious mental illness.

Benefits

The part-time Custodian position is not eligible to participate in the agency's benefits program.

Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.

Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.

Further, a ll employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as part of DBH's licensing agreement with the State of Utah. Failure to pass either screening will result in the termination of any job offer submitted and/or employment for any individual who has started employment while the criminal background screening is in process. Pending and/or open charges will likely impact a candidate's ability to pass the pre-employment criminal background screening.
