Position Overview
BCI is actively seeking a dynamic Learning Development Project Manager (LDPM) to join our team. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in designing and delivering cutting-edge online training solutions across education, non-profit, government, and corporate sectors, enhancing job skills, and fostering organizational growth.
The LDPM at BCI is essential in leveraging online training tools and platforms to develop training courses and programs that meet the specific needs of our diverse clientele. This role encompasses strategy development for learning programs, client relationship management, project management, program design, instructional design, course development, and assurance of quality and functionality for online learning experiences. The LDPM collaborates extensively with BCI’s development team to ensure successful program delivery and client satisfaction, sometimes directly handling course design, development, and client interfacing from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development of learning programs.
- Partner closely with clients from the conception to the final rollout of projects.
- Scope new projects, including timelines and budgets.
- Manage day-to-day tasks for assigned projects and document processes.
- Engage with clients weekly to build and maintain strong relationships, creating positive client partnerships and offering solutions as needed.
- Manage and lead the instructional design and eLearning course development to deliver exceptional online learning experiences that meet client needs and learning objectives.
- Drive team collaboration, working with the VP of Workforce Strategy, videographers, course designers, and multimedia specialists to produce outcomes that center on our clients' needs.
- Identify and develop program content, sometimes performing needs assessments to enhance learning program efficacy.
- Occasionally act as a course developer to execute eLearning course design and development using eLearning software such as Articulate Storyline and Rise.
- Perform thorough reviews of courses, videos, and programs to ensure they adhere to BCI’s stringent quality and functional criteria before final edits.
- Collaborate with BCI's videographer to create instructional videos.
- Oversee contractors’ work to ensure quality and timely completion of developmental milestones.
- Represent BCI at events and other project-related activities as needed.
Skills/Competencies
- Project management and ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- eLearning Instructional Design following a standardized course development process.
- eLearning course design expertise
- Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise expertise required
- Graphic design expertise preferred- Adobe Photoshop
- Multimedia and animation development advanced skills preferred
- Attention to detail and strong editing skills
- Time management
- Effective collaboration and communication with in-person, virtual (e.g., Zoom), and written communications.
Experience & Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in eLearning training and development.
- 1-2 years of project coordination with a track record of improving outcomes and meeting strategic goals.
- Background in education, instructional design, content development, or curriculum development preferred.
- Solid understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Ability to create and troubleshoot Level 3 (hyber-interactive) eLearning courses in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) with third-party software integrations such as Vyond and Genially.
Reporting Line
This position reports to the VP of Learning and Workforce Strategy.
Work Location
The LDPM will be based at the BCI office, with opportunities for a hybrid work schedule in coordination with the VP of Learning and Workforce Strategy.
