THE INS AND OUTS OF THIS JOB
As a Career Development Counselor, envision yourself as a catalyst for change, guiding individuals toward their dream careers. Your days will involve forging deep connections with program participants, conducting in-depth intakes, and crafting personalized service plans known as Family Contract Amendments (FCAs). These plans will chart the course toward short-term and long-term employment goals, closely tailored to participants' skills and dreams.
But it's not all about paperwork; your role is deeply hands-on. You'll empower participants by honing their resumes, refining their interview skills, and orchestrating essential services like childcare, transportation, and educational support. Your meticulous record-keeping and unwavering communication will keep participants on track with TANF and program requirements.
